With Caitlyn Jenner making a revolution in the transgender community, one couldn’t be prouder. With the advent of awareness about the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (“LGBT”) rights, this is delightful news followed by Ireland legalizing the Same-Sex marriage.
My hope for the world is that we can all be as brave as Caitlyn Jenner.
Can there ever be anything as beautiful, as a person being exactly who they are? The recent news flash and people declaring their real identity is a glance into the true beauty of the world. This entire uprising is not only changing the view point of people towards LGBT but also raising awareness about the importance to be –“Who You Truly Are”.
Just days ago, I was a victim of “fitting in”. I was lost in the world of people being superficial and pretentious that it made me believe, if I don’t project myself like them then I won’t be noticed or admired. The feeling of loneliness and disappointment had surrounded me. However just one glance at the cover of Vanity Fair not only made me smile but also made me realize how foolish I was acting. Hence, this is me, enjoying my individuality!!
The Vanity Fair cover not only encourages the rights of LGBT, but also showcases, in the true sense of the word, an honest beauty. “The Beauty” referred here is not limited to looks, the body or the images, but the beauty behind the courage to face the world with what you believe in.
Caitlyn Jenner had the resources to be what she is today, but one should not relate to her transformation as a cash flow business rather focus on her strength to finally be honest to herself at 65! Even if Jenner’s effort impresses or falls short, her talk about changing the perspective of the world is already making a mark. Presenting herself – even the most glamorous and polished version of herself, is a courageous move. This cannot be regarded as a trivial or a silly moment; rather it’s a REVOLUTIONARY ACT.
LGBT is a community teaching everyone to embrace their individuality. For so many years transgender have been ridiculed and banished but now it’s our turn to open our hearts and minds towards them.
